This position is located at the Automotive Skills Center within the Business Operations Division. Join our team at the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of Soldiers and their Families by providing essential support services and recreational activities that directly contribute to Soldier readiness and well-being. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will NOT be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Assists senior mechanics in performing comprehensive maintenance and repairs on a variety of combustion-powered vehicles.
- →Performs removal and replacement of standard automotive parts such as spark plugs, belts, hoses, brake shoes, water pumps, and mufflers under direct supervision.
- →Aids in making crucial vehicle settings and adjustments, including setting engine idle and timing, adjusting brakes, and gapping spark plugs.
- →Maintains a safe and clean work environment by strictly observing all environmental, safety, and security protocols.
- →Utilizes standard and metric automotive hand and powered tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- ✓Possess a high school diploma or the equivalent from a trade school (MUST BE UPLOADED AT TIME OF APPLICATION)
