About the Role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Center on Ellsworth AFB. This position is regular part time. You are guaranteed 20 hours, however, could work up to 40 hours. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF Benefits. Must be able to frequently lift, and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally, objects weighing over 50 pounds.
What You'll Do
- →Provides instruction to patrons, as requested or as deemed appropriate, and, on a regular and recurring basis, performs such duties as: troubleshooting; rebuilding and repairing automotive engines, major assemblies, and components.
- →Tears down, rebuilds, or replaces complex components, such as engines, transmissions, differentials, axle assemblies, power steering mechanisms, braking systems, cooling systems, wheels and bearings, and hydraulic and electrical systems.
- →Hooks up fuel, oil hydraulic, and electrical systems to repaired units and makes adjustments to assure proper operation of units.
- →Performs cleanup duties as required.
- →Troubleshoots defects, diagnoses malfunction and determines type and extent of repair (s) necessary.
