The incumbent serves as the Assistant Chief of the facility's CDCE/Voluntary Service office reporting directly to the Chief, CDCE/Voluntary Service. One must share fully in the duties, responsibilities, and authorities of the Chief, CDCE/Voluntary Service for the full scope of business.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Under the direction of the Chief, CDCE/Voluntary Service, the incumbent is responsible for planning and leading philanthropic activities and programs within widely dispersed locations across the healthcare system, VA Administrations and State Veterans Homes.
- →The incumbent assists in all aspects of the development, coordination, and management of the CDCE/Voluntary Service Office to include, but not limited to, planning, establishing and implementing policy; developing short and long-range program goals and objectives; and managing, evaluating, and coordinating (internal and external) resources of across the service.
- →The incumbent has authority to act in place of the Chief, CDCE/Voluntary Service when needed to collaborate with Department-level organizations to support national initiatives that involve community partnerships designed for execution at local facilities or in support of large-scale national programs, providing evaluation and recommendations to further program impact and long-term success.
