Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →Duties: Manages standardization and evaluation (Stan/Eval) program for assigned flying units.
- →Makes decisions based on the capabilities, limitations, and resources for employment of unit-assigned aircraft Manages the flight evaluation and ground testing programs.
- →Schedules aircrew members and instructor aircrew members for standardization/evaluation examinations and evaluations to ensure aircrew members complete all ground requisites required for flight evaluations.
- →Makes periodic and comprehensive assessment of unit Stan/Eval programs through a review of performances indicator, productivity goals and accomplishments, deficiency reports, audit findings, trends and analysis reports, etc.
- →As required, flies as an instructor/evaluator.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities (less than 25% of the time).
- →This duty is only applicable if the position is coded with a supervisory level code "4".
Requirements
- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: RETIRED MILITARY ARE USUALLY INELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE AIR FORCE RESERVE.
- ✓RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE ACTIVE AIR FORCE RESERVE ASSIGNMENTS MAY APPLY PROVIDED THEY SHOW ASSIGNMENT (POSITION AND UNIT) ON THEIR APPLICATION.
