About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1525000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard. ***NOTE: This is a DUAL announcement with AGR26-144. Only one candidate will be selected for this vacancy***
What You'll Do
- →As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC - TITLE 32, WG-8852-12, you will direct, monitor or perform overall maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more aircraft.
- →Ensure aircraft documentation and Maintenance Information Systems(MIS) accurately reflect the airworthiness of the Aircraft.
- →Performs in-process and final inspection of aircraft and components undergoing repair, overhaul and/or modification to verify and certify by signature adherence to work techniques, procedures and quality standards established by applicable publications.
- →Plans, develops and conducts training during the technician work week to a multi facet workforce comprised of from 3 to 8 assigned military positions.
- →Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises and Operations Other Than War (OOTW).
- →Complies with safety, fire, security, environmental and housekeeping regulations.
- →Ensures that material and equipment are properly and safely protected and maintained.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- ✓Military Grades: E5/SSgt - E6/TSgt RANK REQUIREMENT: Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable.
- ✓Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- ✓CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
- ✓You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
- ✓Wear of the military uniform.
- ✓May be subject to furlough actions.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
- ✓Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- ✓Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.
- ✓Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus.
- ✓Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility.
- ✓This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
- ✓An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
