This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Air Reserve Technician (ART) supervisor exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers on assigned shift, enforcing schedules and directing work priorities.
- →Trains reservists in the accomplishment of duties and responsibilities set forth herein.
- →DUTIES: DUTY 1: Performs work planning responsibilities.
- →Plans use of workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a daily or by project basis.
- →DUTY 2: Performs work direction responsibilities.
- →Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and/or help in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes.
- →Observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems, reassign personnel within group supervised, and coordinates work among workers and other supervisors to maintain work progress to meet schedules.
- →Inspects completed work for quality and work order requirements.
- →Reports possible or actual work delays to superiors.
- →DUTY 3: Performs administration responsibilities.
- →Directly supervises production of active duty maintenance personnel and provides full supervision to all ARTs in the Flight assigned to shift.
