About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, Position Description Number PDD0806000 and is part of the WY 153d Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
What You'll Do
- →The purpose of this position is to provide overall direction and coordination of the subordinate work activities and functions.
- →Work is carried out by two or more separate organizational units and is controlled by a small number of subordinate supervisors.
- →The work involves two or more dissimilar or unrelated occupations.
- →(1) Planning: Plans the overall allocation of personnel and other resources to the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, and complexity, must be planned on a quarterly or longer basis.
- →(2) Work Direction: Coordinates and directs the work of units supervised.
- →Assigns and explains work requirements to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines.
- →Balances workload for subordinate work groups.
- →Promotes economical and efficient work operations.
- →(3) Administration: Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by them.
- →Makes formal appraisal of supervisors' work performance and reviews employee appraisals submitted by them.
- →Determines training needs for all levels of subordinates.
- →Promotes and administers such programs as cost reduction, incentive awards, suggestions, and quality assurance.
- →(4) Implements safety regulatory requirements.
- →Ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions.
Requirements
- ✓KEY REQUIREMENTS: Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt.

- ✓May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial and one-year supervisory probation period.
- ✓Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation.
- ✓Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible.
- ✓Subject to funding and TAG approval.
- ✓PCS costs are not authorized.
- ✓Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected.
- ✓EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
- ✓Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
- ✓Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.

- ✓Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
