Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the Senior Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer with overall supervision and management of either an Aircraft Generation Squadron (AGS), a Maintenance Squadron (MS), a Rescue Squadron (RQS), a Flying Squadron (FS), or a Logistics Support Squadron (LSS) and, as such, has final accountability for all phases of squadron administrative activities.
- →Duty 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the squadron.
- →Manages assigned logistics resources and ensures production to meet operational requirements and technical standards.
- →Duty 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management or headquarters.
- →Duty 3: Represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
