This vacancy is for a WL-8602-10, Aircraft Engine Mechanic Leader located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, ALC INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION -IOD INDUSTRIAL PROD BR in ELIZABETH CITY, North Carolina.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic Leader and will be responsible for for providing leadership and/or training to your assigned workforce and performing rework, overhauls and/or repairs to aircraft engines.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Passing on instructions to subordinates from the supervisor, making work assignments, establishing the workflow, setting the pace for work completing and distributing and balancing the workload.
- →Assuring written instructions and reference materials are available and followed and that safety regulations are complied with.
- →Performing evaluations, disassembly, repairs, modifications, overhauls, assembly, and inspection of aircraft gas turbine engines, major modules, components, assemblies and/or sub assemblies.
- →Troubleshooting and reworking aircraft turbine engines, major modules, components, assemblies and/or sub-assemblies that fail test cell performance runs.
- →Reviewing engine/component records to determine cause or failure and extent of disassembly and repair required to return engine and/or component to operational condition.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
