About the Role
This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →Determine when the nature and scope of repair involves other trades, e.g., aircraft mechanics, electricians, electronics mechanics, sheet metal/structural repair or integrated systems mechanics and coordinate the work of these individuals with the other trades.
- →Removes or installs entire propulsion systems from/on aircraft, test cell and maintenance stand working as a member or leader of a team. 7.
- →Maintain, inspect, operate and certify test cell and hush house. 8.
- →Perform Engine Health Management (EHM) program duties and properly document propulsion system maintenance in historical records and the Maintenance Information System (MIS). 9.
- →Prepares effective training plans to maximize training for assigned personnel.
