This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) position. ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the AF Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. What You'll Do
- →Removes or installs entire propulsion systems from/on aircraft, test cell and maintenance stand working as a member or leader of a team. 3: Skilled/certified in the operation and maintenance of diagnostic test equipment, on-board electronic equipment, a variety of special equipment, hand, measurement and power tools.
- →Maintain, inspect, operate and certify test cells and hush house. 4: Enforces and complies with safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.
- →Perform Engine Health Management (EHM) program duties and properly document propulsion system maintenance in historical records and the Maintenance Information System (MIS). 5: Certify, utilize and enforce the work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program and applicable commercial aircraft/propulsion manuals.
- →Prepares effective training plans to maximize training for assigned personnel.
