About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, remove, install C-17 aircraft engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APU). Performs post-maintenance operational checks such as leak checks, engine trims and ensures maintenance is accomplished in specified guidelines along with implementing complete/accurate data. Updates G081 automated computer system
What You'll Do
- →Performs inspection and troubleshooting on. a variety of complete operational aircraft reciprocating or gas turbine engines in aircraft on the flightline, rebuilt or modified engines in test cells, or on the "penalty line" if correcting the defects will require extensive disassembly.
- →Removes, disassembles, repairs, modifies, reassembles, and reinstalls aircraft engines, their assemblies, and components to include Auxiliary Power Units.
- →Uses a variety of hand and power tools.
- →Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.
