The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authority over Air Mobility Command's Air Mobility Squadron (AMS), and assigned operating locations, within the Republic of Korea (ROK).
What You'll Do
- →As assistant director to the commander, plans, organizes, and oversees the day-to-day aerial port operation activities of the Air Mobility Squadron.
- →Develops goals and directs objectives that integrate organization and aerial port objectives and standards to ensure optimum efficiency of aerial port operations, readiness and resources execution, and common performance capabilities impacting global cargo and passenger mission requirements supporting the Combatant Commander.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Directs, coordinates, and oversees work activities of a large and diversified group of military members, Host Nation civilian employees, and US civilian personnel in a 24 hours-a-day, 7 days per week operation through subordinate unit supervisors.
- →Reviews and structures organization to optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
- →Represents Air Mobility Squadron with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains an effective logistics working relationships with various host installation senior leaders, local government organizations, U.S.
- →Federal and State Agencies, MAJCOMs, DoD Combatant Commands and their components and other Service key personnel regarding the efficient and timely logistical movement of cargo/passengers within the Defense Transportation System (DTS).
- →Leads, develops, and supports air mobility squadron strategic vision, priorities, and strategy.
- →Formulates current and long-range plans, justification, and use for facility construction, major renovations, and general facility improvements in conjunction with installation and MAJCOM budgetary and mission priorities.
- →Allocates resources and distributes work to subordinate unit as appropriate.
- →Routinely coordinates with Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC), HQ Air Mobility Command, and host Wing Civil Engineer on real property projects.
