You will serve as a AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SPECIALIST (TERM) in the Commander, Naval Region Mid Atlantic (CNRMA), Naval Station Norfolk, Chambers Field, Air Operations Department, Air Traffic Control Division of NAVSTA.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide preflight, in-flight, and post-flight assistance to aircraft.
- →You will issue control instructions to provide separation and ensure the orderly and expeditious movement of live aircraft departing, landing, approaching for landing or flying within and between terminal areas.
- →You will furnish information to pilots on a continuous basis, concerning clearances to operate aircraft, weather and field conditions and pertinent operating and procedural instructions.
- →You will evaluate air and ground operations and activities to ensure all activity at and around the airfield is conducted in the safest possible manner.
- →You will conduct on-the-job training apprentice trainee, and development for controllers in live and simulated air traffic situations.
