This position serves as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic within Facilities Management Service (FMS) at VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (VAECHCS), to include the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repairs and operations of HVAC and refrigerated equipment/systems, related medical components, and life safety equipment.
What You'll Do
- →Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday; 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Position Description Title/PD#: Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic/PD10265A Physical Requirements: May be required to bend, reach and hold awkward positions for prolonged periods.
- →Frequently works from ladders, platforms, high places and cramped spaces.
- →Considerable climbing, walking and stooping is also required for this position.
- →Frequently lifts and moves objects up to 50lbs., and occasionally lifts and carries objects over 50lbs. either alone or with others.
- →Works indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and is exposed to the usual occupational hazards.
- →Required to work in close, extremely hot or cold places and around high voltage electricity.
- →Must work in noisy, dusty and humid places.
- →Driving requirement: A current, valid state-issued Driver's License is required for this position.
- →NOTE: We cannot accept photographs, therefore; please do not submit a copy of your license with your application package.
- →If an interview is requested, you will be required to provide a copy of your current, valid state-issued Driver's License.
Requirements
