You will serve as a AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT 900 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will install, modify, repair, and test air conditioning and refrigeration systems associated with equipment.
- →You will perform work involving system components, electrical controls, and mechanical assemblies required for proper system operation.
- →You will determine system configuration, component placement, and installation sequence in accordance with technical guidance and established specifications.
- →You will perform preventive maintenance inspections and services to ensure continued system reliability.
- →You will work on a variety of systems associated with shipyard facilities and vessels.
- →You will work from building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to determine system configuration, component placement, and repair methods.
