You will serve as a Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic in the PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia ***See Additional Information section below for details***
What You'll Do
- →You will remove, install, align, repair and test various submarines and surface craft systems.
- →You will make templates, jigs, and other fixtures required for repair or installation utilizing knowledge of materials and their versatility.
- →You will apply knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration compressors, ship's air conditioning, chill water and temporary support equipment aboard submarines and surface craft.
- →You will apply standard formulas, shop mathematics, trade theories and industry practices in calculating needed materials and problem solving.
- →You will troubleshoot shipboard refrigeration systems, piping and components to determine the area of difficulty; what parts or materials are required; and the methods used to complete repairs.
- →You will plan and lay out work using blueprints, sketches, word orders and other technical work documents.
