This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic for Tripler Army Medical Center, Department of Logistics, Facility Management Branch.
What You'll Do
- →Performs comprehensive repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of large industrial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, including chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps, and related control equipment.
- →Works with systems that utilize mechanical compression, vapor compression, absorption, steam-jet, and air-cycle methods to cool, heat, humidify, dehumidify, filter, and circulate air.
- →Maintains and repairs domestic and commercial refrigeration units, walk-in coolers, freezers, dehumidifiers, and ventilating systems.
- →Diagnoses malfunctions, determines root causes, and performs corrective repairs to restore full system functionality.
- →Operates and monitors the central control and data system (CCDS) to control and monitor temperatures, pressures, and the status of major equipment 1a items such as air conditioning systems and high pressure boilers.
