You will serve as a AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC LEADER in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES, DEPARTMENT 900 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will coordinate work while assuring proper inter-trade and inter-shop coordination and high level quality assurance with timely yet orderly job completion.
- →You will provide on the job training for workers, correct improper air condition equipment work methods (TGI's), and ensure work related shipyard instructions and procedures are followed.
- →You will inform the first line supervisor of job progress, performance, equipment and materials needed to complete job projects with adjustments as needed.
- →You will utilize blueprints and sketches of work documents to plan and execute work tasks.
- →You will be responsible for using proper prescribed work methods and procedures as well as the efficient use of personnel and equipment.
- →You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary air conditioning services in support of nuclear work or within radiologically controlled areas.
- →You will provide air conditioning maintenance work on nuclear support facilities, to include: installation, scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting of building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units.
- →You will lead workers to ensure that necessary plans, procedures, blueprints, instructions, tools are available to perform work operations.
