This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base(DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a TERM position located at Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM), Watervliet Arsenal, Installation Management Directorate, Public Works Division, Watervliet NY.
What You'll Do
- →Determine causes of defects and malfunctions on assigned refrigeration and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- →Determine repairs needed and repairs, adjusts, and replaces parts.
- →Troubleshoot, repair, and install a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning units.
- →Perform related electrical, sheet metal, and carpentry installation and fabrication tasks, and/or small motor repair.
- →Examine and conduct preventive maintenance of systems and components.
