About the Position: This position is located at McDonald Army Health Clinic in Fort Eustis, Virginia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Conduct collaborative care assessments, diagnosis and management of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- →Order laboratory and diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and initiate emergency care.
- →Communicate patient management strategies to members of the patient care team.
- →Collaborate with physicians regarding patient management including revising therapeutic plans and managing high-risk patients.
- →Evaluate care delivery models and strategies using concepts related to community, environmental/occupational health, and cultural and socioeconomic dissensions of health.
- →Participate in conferences, trainings, and workshops in order to share and obtain new methodology which facilitates advancement in the healthcare profession.
- →Serve as a preceptor to graduate students enrolled in nurse practitioner and physician assistant programs, medical students, and to newly assigned nurse practitioners.
