About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform the full range of advanced practice nursing care, treating beneficiaries of all ages who are requesting mental health services.
- →Conduct psychiatric intakes and evaluations, prescribe medications, and formulate comprehensive care plans as part of an integrated treatment team.
- →Provide comprehensive nursing care for psychiatric patients, closely observing, evaluating, and recording significant behaviors and reactions.
- →Monitor and manage medication efficacy and side effects, maintaining precise records within a computerized system.
- →Collaborate with primary care and other providers to manage referrals, provide feedback, and advise leadership on soldier well-being.
- →Present patient cases for clinical conferences and serves as a preceptor and role model for students and other healthcare professionals.
