About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount(up to $200,000)&eligibility period(one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
What You'll Do
- →The Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) - Nuclear Medicine practices as a licensed independent practitioner providing advanced, evidence-based specialty care to Veterans across the continuum of care.
- →Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic conditions, with a strong emphasis on diagnostic evaluation, disease management, care coordination, and patient education.
- →Requires advanced clinical judgment, prescriptive authority, and leadership within a multidisciplinary care environment, including close collaboration with oncology, radiology, pharmacy, nursing, and ancillary services.
- →Actively contributes to quality improvement, population health outcomes, and aligns care delivery with VA missions and ICARE core values.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓English Language Proficiency.
- ✓In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
