About the Role
The Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) assigned to Environmental Health, C&P, and Employee Health is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support across three key areas: Military Environmental Exposure Registry, Compensation and Pension (C&P) examinations, and Employee Health services. This role requires an understanding of the procedures and protocols associated with each department and ensures seamless coordination and management of associated tasks.
What You'll Do

- →Military Environmental Exposure Registry: Coordinate and schedule appointments for environmental health exposure assessments.
- →Serve as a contact for veterans inquiring about environmental health exposures and provide necessary information.
- →Assist in communication between veterans and health care providers related to environmental health concerns.
- →Compensation and Pension (C&P): Schedule and coordinate C&P examinations, ensuring timely appointments.
- →Prepare and manage required documentation for C&P exams.
- →Liaise with veterans and clinical staff to ensure proper communication and efficient processing of C&P claims.
- →Enter and track C&P examination data within the appropriate systems.
- →Employee Health: Schedule and track Employee Health services, including surveillance and annual examinations and necessary follow-ups.
- →Maintain records and documentation pertaining to Employee Health.
- →Provide administrative support regarding employee health inquiries and services.
- →Ensure adherence to Employee Health policies and guidelines.
- →Scheduling and Administrative Support: Utilize VA-approved scheduling software to manage and track appointments across all three key areas.
- →Perform general clerical duties such as filing, copying, scanning documents, and managing telephone inquiries.
Requirements

- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
