The incumbent Serve as Administrative Support Assistant for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS). In this capacity, the incumbent will act as administrative support. The incumbent will regularly interact with departments outside of P&LMS including but not limited to other VA Affiliates, Community Hospitals, Joint Pathology Center, reference laboratories and College of American Pathologists. The direct supervisor is the Pathology Laboratory Manager.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- →Composes and types minutes for meeting and miscellaneous correspondence on routine matters as outlined in regulations and procedures, or specifically requested by the Chief of Laboratory Service.
- →Assures outgoing correspondence in compliance with VA and laboratory policy and utilized proper format, spelling, and grammar.
- →Assisting in the establishment and maintenance of office files, and employee 6-part folder for section assigned using filing system Orders office supplies and equipment for the department.
- →Work Schedule: 7:45am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
