Explore a new career with the BLM - where our people are our most precious resource. This position is located in Roswell, New Mexico. We expect to fill one vacancy. This is a temporary appointment. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status and will be for a period not-to-exceed 1560 hours in a service year.
What You'll Do
- →Receive public fees and payments, issue financial receipts, and process transactional records using automated systems.
- →Maintain personal accountability of authorized change funds, balance cash drawers daily, and prepare deposits according to standard guidelines.
- →Prepare, edit, and track official correspondence, internal memos, and administrative notices for management review.
- →Process, sort, and distribute daily physical and electronic incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- →Provide front-desk or visitor center coverage, responding to routine public inquiries via telephone, email, and in-person contact.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants may qualify for these positions based on experience, education, or an equivalent combination as described in the Qualifications section of this announcement.
- ✓As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
- ✓If using education to qualify, you must submit copies of all transcripts or a list of college courses that include hours and grades from an accredited U.S. college/university.
