This position is located at Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center, to Health Administration Service Chief in Miami, FL. The primary purpose for this position is to perform general clerical and administrative work auxiliary to the work of the organization.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited: Type and compiles letters, reports, minutes, memorandum, process PATS-R responses, action item responses, etc.
- →Make necessary travel arrangements for the Chief, Assistant Chief and other HAS staff.
- →Receive all visitors and screens telephone calls for the Service Chief and Assistant Chief.
- →Preparing Personnel Actions, maintenance of leave records, employee related matters, and the Health Administration staffing records.
- →Assemble reports, gathers statistics and researches pertinent policies and files to assemble material for Service meetings.
- →Review correspondence and reports for completeness, ensuring correct format, grammatical and typing accuracy.
- →Confirm reservations, prepare necessary travel vouchers when travel is completed.
- →Prepare Work orders, order supplies, equipment and repairs.
- →Obtain and monitor the use of services, supplies, or office equipment.
- →Oversee the control point activities with several contracting accounts.
- →Maintains the service publications systems (HAS Newsletter, SOPs, policies, etc.) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Telework: Not Authorized Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
