You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the Test Engineering Division (246), Chief Engineer (240), Engineering and Planning Department 200 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will receive visitors and calls from within the shipyard, other shipyards, and NAVSEA using courtesy and diplomacy to create the best impression possible of the Test Engineering Division.
- →You will assist the manager and staff on the practical and technical aspects of office administration.
- →You will develop and maintain a complete file on policy, administrative, and Department operational subject matter and can recognize and recommend action that are not consistent with the objectives of the functions of the Department.
- →You will conduct studies of existing directives and forms to detect and eliminate conflict, overlap and duplication.
- →You will provide assistance and is a source of information to the Division head on a wide range of subjects.
- →You will compile, consolidate, and summarizes budgetary data from source documents.
