What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as a contact for the park and in coordinating with the Human Resources Specialists in the Servicing Human Resources Office (SHRO).
- →Refers managers and supervisors to SHRO regarding substantive human resource issues.
- →Provides accurate and reliable information on the administrative functions of the park.
- →Interacts with managers, supervisors, and staff members on matters related to administrative services by attending meetings and serving on appropriate work teams/groups.
- →Serves as the primary administrative point of contact for the unit.
- →Responsible for the administrative oversight of various administrative processes, which may include processing human resources, financial, procurement, property, and other administrative forms or documents for the unit.
- →Collects data for the unit's operating budget, consolidates material into an annual unit budget; sets up controls to monitor expenses during the year; and recommends budget adjustments including restructuring budget allocations or work plans to deal with changing situations such as varying costs for equipment parts, or services, and changes in the availability of funds.
- →Serves as advisor to the unit on procedures for the procurement of goods and services, and within delegated authority purchases supplies, equipment, and services for the unit utilizing a purchase card, or a blanket purchase agreement under micro-purchase authorities.
- →Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship required.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males.
- ✓Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required.
- ✓Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- ✓Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
- ✓Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal civilian employees applying for reinstatement who have had a break in service of less than one year, as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointments.
- ✓Time-in-grade does not apply to new excepted service appointments.
- ✓Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- ✓You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority. *Additional Requirements located under qualifications* There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.
