This position is located on a Region 1 and Region 5 and serves as the Fire and Aviation Administrative Support Assistant. This position provides administrative support for the fire organization, property and procurement management, database management for both fire and fuels management, and budget services. What You'll Do
- →Duties listed are at the full performance GS-07 grade level.
- →Provides administrative support in the specialized area or program the unit and or staff supports.
- →Maintains oversight of administrative and personnel actions as directed by the supervisor.
- →Tracks personnel requests, updates to organizational charts, phone lists, emergency contact information, and travel voucher input for employees.
- →Provides budget assistance including fleet tracking and mileage input, cell phone coordination, and credit card assistance for unit employees.
- →Issues burn permits and maintains records of burn and campfire permits.
- →Maintains red card printouts and folders, year-end reporting, and pack test coordination.
- →Tracks qualification and certification training using the appropriate database.
- →Utilizes computer applications and technology to produce a wide variety of documents such as correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
- →Sets up devices necessary to conduct electronic/virtual meetings.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
