The VA Long Beach Health Care System is currently hiring (1) Administrative Specialist to provide the overall administrative management for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Santa Fe Springs. This includes interpreting administrative policies, developing and implementing local policies, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to management on related issues.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but not limited to: Interacts with a wide variety of staff, patients, volunteers, and customers, demonstrating sensitivity to and understanding of their needs by taking ownership of the problem and adapting the customers' needs as their own.
- →Coordinates employee events at the CBOC, as needed.
- →These events include, but are not limited to staff meetings, town halls, trainings, and the combined federal campaign.
- →Monitors existing and/or emerging workflow issues and evaluate and recommend changes for the continuous process improvement.
- →Maintains awareness of available resources and makes recommendations to the CBOC manager regarding needs, distribution, or redistribution of resources.
- →Maintain supply par levels for the CBOC.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
