What You'll Do

  • If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team in the Administrative Division that is responsible for overseeing and/or providing a wide variety of administrative support services to the district in most or all of the following areas: Contracting, Procurement, Records Management, and other miscellaneous support services.
  • Typical work assignments will include: Performs a wide variety of technical support duties in one or more of the following administrative services programs including Human Resources, Financial Management, Procurement.
  • Maintains electronic databases to track information and suspense items.
  • Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for time, participants and locations of meetings.
  • Assists in maintaining property records and conducting inventory.
  • Requests issuance, return and repairs of non-expendable office equipment and furniture.
  • Maintains warranties with anticipated expiration dates and service records for property.
  • Uses various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents; produce correspondence, memoranda, directives, forms reports; and create or maintain spreadsheets or databases.
  • Receives visitors to the USAO and refers each visitor to the appropriate person or office as appropriate and determined by local procedure.
  • Explains applicable security rules, regulations, and procedures regarding visitors to employees, managers, and visitors.
  • Issues visitor badges and passes, ensuring each visitor has the required access or escorts for the area for which they are entering.
  • Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
