What You'll Do
- →The position is located in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) in the Middle District of Georgia.
- →The work includes providing a variety of routine administrative, financial, and procurement services, maintaining office files and records, performing office automation duties and serving as an Information Receptionist.
- →The employee independently plans and carries out regular and recurring assignments and uses initiative to complete work in accordance with accepted practices.
- →Duties will include, but are not limited to: Provides a variety of administrative assistance services: Compose correspondence such as letters, endorsements, memoranda and electronic correspondence from records or files maintained.
- →Analyzes administrative processes and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- →Receive, review, and distribute incoming mail.
- →Prepares a variety of recurring and special reports, compiling data and obtaining required information.
- →Advises internal and external stakeholders on all procedural and administrative functions related to reports.
- →Resolves a variety of administrative problems related to staff actions and assignments.
- →Establishes and maintains office files, records, logs and manuals in accordance with specified file systems and office needs.
- →Performs office automation duties.
- →Serves as USAO Information Receptionist.
- →Receives visitors to the USAO and refers each visitor to the appropriate person or office as appropriate and determined by local procedure.
- →Assists in maintaining property records and conducting inventory.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education.
