About the Role
This is a developmental position in which the incumbent will gain experience and develop his/her knowledge, skills and abilities in administrative tasks and duties to support staff, patients and administration for all matters of concern relating to Employee Experience.
What You'll Do
- →This position requires knowledge of the mission, goals, organization, and programs of VA healthcare services and delivery systems, and the VA system as whole, as well as knowledge of human factors, systems and healthcare management.
- →The incumbent will have skill in applying management analysis principles, techniques, and concepts enough to lead/conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way healthcare services are delivered.
- →Ability to effectively communicate with senior leaders, community stakeholders and employees on site, both orally and in writing.
- →This position is broad, and the work is highly analytical, interpretive and judgmental and evaluative in nature.
- →The incumbent is responsible for the overall success and management of the Employee Experience.
- →The ability to plan a system of internal control, which ensures the appropriate processes that are within financial policies and procedures.
- →The ability to identify budgetary and financial relationships between the service and the medical center's overall mission and its program's funding.
- →Coordination and Communication: Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities, communicate effectively with staff at various levels, and handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
- →Budget and Resource Management: Familiarity with budget formulation, tracking expenditures, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
- →Human Resources Processes: Experience with personnel actions (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations), timekeeping, and understanding of related HR practices.
- →Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to assess issues, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements within administrative operations.
- →Technical Proficiency: Skill in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other common office software; experience learning and utilizing new information systems.
- →Project Coordination: Ability to support or lead small projects, prepare reports, track deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- →Customer Service: Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
