The incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer to the Chief of Staff. In this position, the individual provides for a variety of complex administrative management services and related perspectives essential to the operation and direction of the Chief of Staff Office.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Directs the personnel management program for the organization, performing or overseeing a full range of human resource requirements.
- →Reviews, analyzes, and interprets incoming requests, recommends appropriate action, or suggests appropriate alternatives based on knowledge of internal operations, agency personnel policies, budgetary constraints, and work priorities.
- →Provides consultative advice to Chief of Staff Office staff, management, and program personnel on budgetary and finance related issues ensuring success.
- →Reviews financial reports and resolve discrepancies with the appropriate accounting staff.
- →Perform all administrative functions to include administration, human resources management, budget and finance, management and program analysis, committee support, office support services, document control, logistics, and a variety of related administrative matters in support of clinical services under COS.
- →Oversees responsibility for the maintenance of a suspense tracking system, which assigns actions to services and staff for needed responses to the Network, VA Central Office, Congressional inquiries, and other interested stakeholders/parties.
- →Manages procurement and contracting for the Executive Office.
- →Prepares and reviews purchase orders for supplies and non-expendable property such as equipment necessary to the effective functioning of the Chief of Staff Office.
- →Takes initiative in budget/financial/space management issues and tasks on behalf of COSO.
