About the Role
This position serves as the Administrative Officer for Sterile Processing Service(SPS), aligned under Patient Care Services. Responsibilities include budget management, equipment procurements and inventory, human resources management, administrative management for policy development, report preparation and maintaining the existing quality management system. Incumbent serves as a backup timekeeper and Contracting Officer Representative for SPS and other services as needed.
What You'll Do
- →This position is responsible for overall coordination and management of administrative services and performance management goals.
- →In this capacity the incumbent plans and schedules work necessary for the coordination and implementation of performance management initiatives.
- →Major Duties include but are not limited to : Provides for the budgeting and fiscal management of SPS.
- →Develops life cycle cost analyses of projects and performs economic evaluations of current or projected programs.
- →Prepares cost/benefit analysis that enable executive management to make informed decisions regarding the Service's activities.
- →Provides advice to the Chief SPS on budgetary and finance issues Responsible for SPS Fund Control Point and DSS labor mapping information.
- →Reviews fiscal management provided financial reports and resolves Service Line discrepancies with the appropriate accounting offices.
- →Manages procurement and contracting for Sterile Processing Services.
- →This may include preparing procurement requests, acting as a contracting office representative (COR) for procurements, and/or maintaining procurement and contracting records.
- →Initiates and prepares contract documents to secure adequate resources to facilitate operations.
- →Prepares and reviews purchase orders for supplies and non-expendable property such as equipment, to include specialized equipment necessary for the effective functioning of the Service.
- →Maintains inventory records for surgical and processing equipment.
- →Directs the personnel management program for Sterile Processing Service.
- →Acts as the liaison with the Human Resources Office concerning personnel-related matters.
