About the Role
This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 (VISN 6), at the Durham VA Health Care System (VAHCS) in Durham, North Carolina, within the Occupational Safety and Health Service. This position reports directly to the Chief, Occupational Safety and Health Service and supports all functions and programs managed by the Service.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of the position is the coordination and monitoring of all necessary administrative functions within the Occupational Safety and Health Service.
- →Key functions of the position include, but not limited to assisting in strategic planning; creating and maintaining statistical data for decision-making purposes; developing and monitoring cost effective programs; and developing policies as appropriate.
- →Incumbent serves as the responsible individual for providing administrative leadership and coordination for the development, implementation, evaluation, interpretation, revision, and necessary corrective action of all applicable administrative policies, functions, activities, operations, and programs for the Service.
- →Incumbent assesses the success of all administrative duties and actions in terms of productivity, proper manpower utilization, improved efficiency, and economic resource management both within the Occupational Safety and Health Service and throughout the entire Health Care System where applicable.

Requirements
