The Administrative Officer for Dental Service serves as the coordinator, advisor, analyst, and planner for the delivery of health care services within Dental Service at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medial Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Planning, organizing, and direction of the ongoing development of Dental Service, as well as analyzing, evaluating, advising, and coordinating administrative activities.
- →Analyzes actual expenses as compared to the budget plan and projection indicated needed adjustments.
- →Works with the Service Chief to establish a long and short term strategic planning process within the service that will consider and effectively integrate resource management planning.
- →Serves as the Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC) for the service.
- →Managing the recruitment, orientation, and retention of clinical and non-clinical staff to meet effective staffing levels for the service.
- →Monitors productivity, makes recommendations for development, and monitors implementation and performance.
- →Facilitate medical record maintenance and compliance with all established rules and processes that will meet VHA and JC standards and the needs of the Veterans and professional staff.
- →Coordinates administrative matters that cross organizational lines and ensures open communication between organizations while addressing several issues for they have specific administrative oversight responsibility.
- →Provides oversight and coordination for service administrative efforts to identify, evaluate, and reduce risk of injury to Veterans, staff, and visitors.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (Subject to change based on the needs of the Agency) Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
