About the Role
The incumbent functions as the Administrative Officer (AO) to the Community Care Section with CHAG Service located at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and supported catchment area, who will report directly to the Community Care Manager. The incumbent will perform a variety of duties across the full jurisdiction of the health care system in an extremely complex medical facility, which is constantly evolving within a highly complex and competitive geographic area.
What You'll Do
- →The purpose of Administrative Officer is to coordinate and implement all the administrative activities of the service.
- →The position facilitates the active and complex interactions necessary for the smooth delivery of care across services within the facility.
- →Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited too: The AO participates in the overall administrative, operational management, decision-making, policy development and resource allocation and utilization for the Service.
- →Incumbent provides administrative and analytical expertise and works independently and closely on a day-to-day basis with the service supervisor or manager, Community Care Section in planning, identifying, resolving, and implementing complex management programs and policies related to the operation of Community Care.
- →Provides for the overall administrative management of Community Care.
- →Exercises independent and creative judgment in accomplishing major duties.
- →This may include interpreting administrative policies, developing local polices, defining administrative requirements, and/or providing advice to the service supervisor on related issues.
- →This will include, but is not limited to, monitors performance, suspense actions, and enforces the directions of the service supervisor or manager of Community Care to ensure issues are brought to closure.
- →Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
- →Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
- →Coordinates incoming data from a variety of sources.
- →Reviews documents, reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
- →Enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system.
- →Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense's on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments, compliance strategies.
