What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Administrative Officer in the Corporate Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Assistant Director of Federal Prison Industries (FPI).
- →The Administrative Officer works closely with all branches of FPI, other Central Office divisions, all regional offices, and has regular contact with the offices of high ranking officials in the Department of Justice (DOJ), the FPI Board of Directors, and a variety of congressional offices.
- →Performs a variety of high level administrative and management support functions in support of the overall management of the CEO Office.
- →Provides assistance directly to the Chief Executive Officer, as well as the Senior Deputy Assistant Director.
- →Must be aware of the Corporation's objectives, ongoing operating programs, and activities and their relationship to the overall goals of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to properly direct and respond to requests for information and assists the CEO in the responsibility for developing programs, and top level policies for management of the divisions.
- →The Administrative Officer must be familiar with the mission and resources of each of the Corporation's branches in order to assure efforts are coordinated in a unified manner and to minimize the duplication of effort when gathering and producing information within mandated time frames.
Requirements
- ✓Career Transition Programs (CTAP or ICTAP): These programs apply to Federal and/or DOJ employees who meet the definition of surplus or displaced from a position in the competitive service.

- ✓Meet CTAP or ICTAP eligibility criteria; 2.
- ✓Be rated well-qualified for the position, scoring at least half of the total possible points for the vacancy KSAs or competencies; and 3.
- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
