This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, National Park Service - Southeast, Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site, in Tuskegee Institute, Alabama. The Administrative Officer serves within all park units (i.e. Tuskegee Inst Natl Hist Site (TUIN)/Tuskegee Airman NHS (TUAI)/Selma TO Montgomery Natl Hist Site (SEMO)).
What You'll Do
- →At the full performance level GS-11 the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Managing the administrative and business operations of the organization and serving as the principal advisor and management team for administrative matters.
- →Responsible for integrating multiple administrative functions including budget, personnel, procurement, property, agreements, and organizational management to support the effective and efficient operation of the organization.
- →Providing oversight, coordination, and advisory support to management to ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and procedures while promoting accountability, operational effectiveness, and sound decision-making across administrative programs and services.
- →Tracking progress and quality of performance and decides on the acceptability, rejection, or correction of work products or services provided by contractors.
- →Initiating requests for personnel actions within the human resources office.
- →Develop and implement short and long range plans relating to administrative functions, such as action plans, divisional budgets, and position administration.
- →This position is classified as a 4-Supervisor position and supervision occupies less than 25% of the position's time, as incumbent provides administrative and technical supervision to between one (1) and three (3) positions), or only on a seasonal basis.
