This position is located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Administration Division. Serves as Administrative Officer for Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Fort Point National Historical Site, and Muir Woods National Monument, and is responsible and accountable for developing, implementing, and managing an administrative program to assist with the overall management and operation of the park.
What You'll Do
- →Leadership and supervision of the park's administrative division, comprised of administration, budget/finance, information technology, and property.
- →Serves as the park's liaison with regional and national level human resource and contracting offices.
- →Provide accurate and reliable advice and guidance to park leadership on all matters relating to administration.
- →Serves as a member of the park's leadership team, responsible for working collaboratively across divisions to establish a culture of respect, inclusiveness, and safety.
- →Creates opportunities for staff to engage and develop skill sets.
- →Establishes and maintains effective planning and budget programming for each discipline.
- →Develops and maintains effective inter-divisional and inter-agency partnerships.
- →Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary but requires some walking, standing, bending, lifting, and carrying of light objects.
- →Work Environment: Work is performed primarily indoors in an office setting, where adequate lighting, heating and ventilation are present, except when out in the park on inspection or fact-finding trips.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship required.
- ✓Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
- ✓Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
- ✓Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
- ✓Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal civilian employees applying for reinstatement who have had a break in service of less than one year, as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointments.
- ✓Time-in-grade does not apply to new excepted service appointments and must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- ✓You may be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties.
- ✓You will also submit a photocopy of your valid State issued driver's license prior to your first official motor vehicle operation, and again every year, or more frequently if management determines such need exists.
- ✓Lastly, you may be required to submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that discloses all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.

- ✓You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards.
