About the Position: Serves as the Administrative Officer (S1) for one of five Brigades under Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Brigades are located both CONUS and OCONUS and are comprised of subordinate Battalions and port Detachments in various locations worldwide.
What You'll Do
- →Administers and manages workforce plans and directs daily operations for organization.
- →Manages administrative functions which include manpower, reports control, records management, military/civilian personnel, budget, training, and other general administration functions.
- →Provides necessary direction, instruction, and guidance to ensure successful administrative support of the Command mission.
- →Provides assistance in the interpretation and application of personnel management policies and procedures by maintaining a close working relationship with operating officials at the HQ SDDC G1 and Civilian Personnel Office.
- →Monitor's time and attendance records for the staff to identify and resolve time and attendance problems.
- →Participates in matters affecting overall internal policy and major actions either initiated within the local organization or directed by higher headquarters.
- →Reviews and/or develops plans, programs, and historical data related to mission of the Command.
- →Recommends subsequent adjustments and assesses budget status against goals on a regular basis.
- →Provides detailed analysis of utilization of funds and makes recommendations to supervisor concerning additional funding on programmed and un-programmed actions.
- →Prepares, interprets, and analyzes data for reporting to higher headquarters.
- →Coordinates military and civilian personnel staffing requirements within the command.
- →Participates in command level meetings and programs; Serves as the Brigade representative as required.
