About the Role
The Administrative Officer fills a critical role in the success of major Action or Country programs abroad by developing and implementing the management structure and services. ***Worksite Information***: Selectees must report to a a federal duty location to prepare for overseas assignment. See the Additional Information section for more info.
What You'll Do
- →These duties may include, but are not limited to: Responsible for management and administrative leadership with; program leadership, finance and budget, IT, Human Resources, contract and acquisition, and logistical resources.
- →Develop and implement the management and administrative structure and services required to meet program goals effectively and efficiently.
- →Leads, motivates, and guides subordinate staff, developing them appropriately, and adapting leadership style for various situations.
- →Establish and explain goals and performance requirements, monitor work progress, and implement change to enhance mission effectiveness.
- →Maintains working relationships with host country representatives, public and private organizations, Foreign Nationals and host country employees.
- →Provides leadership with management and administrative reporting to include recommendations for action.
- →Utilizes foreign language, cross-cultural, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills in performance of assigned responsibilities.
- →Ensures adherence to policy, provision, and cooperative agreements which govern the work of the program.
