As the Administrative Officer in the Office of the Associate Deputy Administrator, Diagnostics & Biologics, Veterinary Services under the direct supervision of the D&B Associate Deputy Administrator you will be responsible for the coordination of administrative functions including budget and financial management; resource management; property and fleet; and travel activities.
What You'll Do
- →The duties may include, but are not limited to: Advises the Directors and managers on a wide range of administrative and program matters relating to the management of complex programs.
- →Keeps the Leadership Team apprised of administrative regulations, policies, and procedures.
- →Plans, designs, directs, or conducts management studies and analyses, prepares reports, and makes recommendations on the effectiveness of a variety of administrative programs and functions.
- →Incumbent identifies administrative and program data and information needed to provide guidance to the Associate Deputy Administrator and Executive Director.
- →Manages financial affairs which includes preparation and submission of a variety of financial reports, studies, and data that require in-depth analysis of programmatic needs and funding sources.
- →Ensures that funds are properly allocated, budgetary controls/systems are in place and that over-obligation is prevented.
- →Manages complex recruitment program that provides both short- and long-range initiatives so that viable candidates are provided information about career opportunities using all available resources.
- →Supervising subordinates more than 25% of the time including, but not limited to, recruitment, selecting, appraising, rewarding, addressing performance problems, and fostering an inclusive workplace.
