What You'll Do
- →Functions as the office manager for the Assistant Director's (AD) office providing support directly to the Assistant Director, the Executive Assistant and Branch Administrators.
- →Responsible for regularly and routinely reading (for the purpose of screening and determining disposition and priority), OIG reports, EEO inquiries, Institution Character Profile (ICP) findings, Executive Staff Papers and correspondence, legal documents, and memoranda from high level officials within the Department of Justice.
- →Responsible for drafting and coordinating correspondence for the Assistant Director's signature in response to controlled documents and requests from institution CEOs.
- →Must be aware of the Program Review Division's objectives, ongoing operating programs and activities and their relationship to the overall goals of the Bureau of Prisons to properly direct and respond to requests for information and assistance.
- →In addition to processing documents associated with the agency's Correspondence Tracking System, develops, implements and maintains an internal system for controlling a wide variety of documents.
- →Gathers and analyzes information to assist the Executive Assistant in preparing reports, letters and other written documents for use by the AD.
- →Helps management identify its financial, personnel and material needs and areas requiring assistance.
Requirements
