The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Accounting Technician. The Accounting Technician will function in Fiscal Service. The incumbent's primary responsibility is establishing and maintaining a complex integrated financial system and services which contributes to effectively manage and control facility operations.
What You'll Do
- →The Accounting Technician duties include, but are not limited to: Utilizes a range of software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) including but not limited to, spreadsheets, word processing, internet, and communications.
- →Researches and resolves issues in a paperless system including, but not limited to vendor issues, missing payments and rejects.
- →Consults with customers providing advice and guidance concerning policies, procedures and regulations.
- →Knowledge of a variety of procedures and their relationships to other functions to research and investigate problems in order to advise a resolution.
- →Coordinates processing local and temporary duty (TDY) transactions, Coordinates, reviews, audits and reconciles government travel, convenience check and purchase card transactions.
- →Meets the needs of customers while supporting all stakeholders by communicating in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
- →Handles conflict and problems in dealing with all stakeholders constructively and appropriately.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm Telework: This position is not authorized for telework.

Requirements
