About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Finance, Indianapolis, IN. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located within the Office of Finance (OF), Office of the Commissioner, U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- →Typical duties include: Performing general ledger operations, including analyzing transactions for effects on CBP's assets, liabilities, net position and operations.
- →Providing professional accounting service by preparing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting accounting data and in reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- →Providing professional accounting advice by reducing recurring accounting data errors and recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- →Preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- →This position starts at a salary of $90,341.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $117,446.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $117,446 (GS-12 Step 10).
