About the Role
You will serve as a Writer-Editor in the Publishing Program within the Communication and Outreach Division of NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan, prepare, produce and publish a broad range of U.S.
- →Navy historical knowledge products for distribution in print and electronic formats.
- →You will conduct independent research and consult with specialists to check accuracy of facts and documentation of sources.
- →You will work closely with authors or other content providers, discussing recommended changes in subject-matter treatment, obtaining information for revisions, and reconciling differences of opinion.
- →You will use electronic production methods throughout the editorial and review process to ensure that each review and corrections phase is completed efficiently.
- →You will proofread page and cover proofs and provide final approval for printing to begin, conduct press sheet and binding inspections and inspections of final product.
