About the Role
This position is located at the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Economic Research Service (ERS), Information Services Division, Publishing Services Branch (PSB), located in Kansas City, Missouri. In this position, you will edit manuscripts, produce tables, chars, and camera copy, and manage the production process for various types of publications.
What You'll Do
- →Uses a variety of methods and techniques in achieving communication goals, such as news releases, press releases, feature articles, new conferences, exhibits, brochures, pamphlets, presentation materials, briefing books, the Agency's website, etc.
- →Develops and disseminates informational materials to key policymakers, Department administration, other Agency administrators, specialized target groups, the public, and other interested stakeholders.
- →On all projects, oversees the entire publication process from planning through editing, clearance, production, printing, and distribution.
- →Edits manuscripts, articles, and market analysis reports; rewrites for clarity and accuracy.
- →Ensures continued movement of documents through the revision and clearance process, including ensuring the accuracy of documents required for the content management posting process.
- →Ensures that manuscripts and periodical are consistent with USDA policies, U.S.
- →Government Publishing Office style rules, and ERS standards.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
